A self initiated studio project to celebrate the colours and flags of the World Cup.
We defined a strict set of design rules to symbolise each stage of the competition. This included things like: camera angles and direction of movement, complexity of physics at certain stages of the tournament, and limiting colour palettes to competing team colours and flags.
Getting across the idea of chance and random acts was also important. As we all know, anything can happen within a game as the ball can ricochet in a hundred different ways.
Some of us love football, but we all love motion design, so for the studio to take the two concepts and produce eye popping football based motion graphics on a daily basis for a few weeks was a real treat.
